Eight arrested in cannabis raids across Netherlands

The police arrested seven men and one woman during raids across the country early on Tuesday morning. The raids form part of a large scale investigation into cannabis cultivation, money laundering and forgery. Properties in Nijmegen, Almere, Amserdam, Arnhem, Beuningen, Ewijk, Rhoon, Vlaardingen and Zevenaar were raided. About a hundred police officers were deployed for this action. The police confiscated paperwork, hard drives, two cars and a small amount of soft drugs. This investigation was launched in May 2015.
