Over 120 new tips about dead baby found in Amsterdam bushes
The police received more than 125 tips in the case regarding a dead baby found hidden in bushes at Amsterdam's Sloterplas on June 8th, a spokesperson said on Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday. It is unclear whether any of these tips contained useful information.
The newborn baby boy was buried at the Sint Barbara cemetery in Amsterdam on Monday. Dozens of people attended the funeral and burial, according to Het Parool.
The baby's body was found on the edge of the Sloterplas on June 8th. He was wrapped in a Burberry blanket and placed in a orange and black football bag.
The police are still looking for the child's mother. DNA investigation showed that the baby's mother most likely came from Europe or North Africa and the father from Africa or the northern edges of the Mediterranean.
