Three killed in ship mast collapse

At least three people were killed Sunday afternoon when a mar broke off a ship and crushed members of the ship's crew. The accident happened at about 2:15 p.m. on Nieuwe Willemkade in Harlingen, Friesland. It was not known how the accident happened in the initial aftermath, according to broadcaster NOS. Dozens of emergency personnel were sent to the scene by dispatchers. A Grip 1 emergency response was ordered, requiring responding agencies to unite under a single command officer, and coordination with the local municipality
