Man killed in shooting in Rotterdam home

An as yet unidentified man was killed in a shooting a home on Crooswijkseweg in Rotterdam during the early hours of Wednesday morning. Two persons were arrested and their involvement in the shooting is under investigation, the police said in a statement on Wednesday morning. The police responded to a report of a possible home invasion at the home around 3:45 a.m. From the street they could see a wounded person lying on a balcony. The officers entered the home and saw that the man had one or more gunshot wounds. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him, but to no avail. He died at the scene. Officers arrested two men, aged 42 and 43 years both from Rotterdam, at the home. They were taken to the police station for questioning. They're involvement in the shooting is under investigation. The police also launched an extensive trace evidence investigation at the home and spoke to several witnesses.
