Dutch highway closed after truck crashes into traffic jam

The A58 from Breda to Eindhoven was closed down completely near Moergestel on Monday morning after a truck crashed into a traffic jam at around 8:30 a.m. According to the police, several vehicles were involved in the accident. A number of people were injured, NU.nl reports. The extent of the injuries is unclear. The Tilburg police write on Twitter that emergency services are at the scene and that traffic has come to a complete standstill. Traffic information service VID expects that the highway will be closed for several hours. According to the service, two trucks, two delivery vans, a tour bus and three cars were involved in the accident. Traffic is being diverted to the A65, where there is already a traffic jam. The VID advises motorists to avoid the A58 near Moergestel and detour to the A65/N65 and A2 in the direction of Den Bosch. Motorists coming from Eindhoven are also advised to travel via the A2 and A65. https://twitter.com/vid/status/752393586390564864
