Third suspect arrested in Tilburg traffic accident shooting

A SWAT team arrested a 31-year-old man in Tilburg on Tuesday in connection with a traffic accident that turned into a shooting incident in the city on Monday night, the police announced. The police responded to the scene on Bartkostraat in Tilburg around 6:30 p.m. after reports of a fight and shots fired. At the scene the officers did indeed find a group of arguing men, one of them injured in what seemed to be a traffic accident. The injured man was treated at the scene and the police searched the area, but no gun was found. Two men were arrested in the hours after the incident. One was released, the other is still in custody for further questioning. "Despite several witnesses questioned, the cause of the turmoil and the role of all involved are still unclear", the police said in a statement. The investigating officers hope that a neighborhood survey will shed more light on exactly what happened.
