Two arrested in Eindhoven murder

Two suspects were arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the murder of 31-year-old Tommie van der Burg in April last year. The victim was gunned down while sitting in his car in front of the Van der Valk hotel in Eindhoven. The two suspects are a 44-year-old man and a 37 year-old woman, both from Eindhoven. They know each other. The police have been on their trace since late last year. The woman was arrested in Eindhoven just before 8:00 a.m. The man was arrested in Goirle. Both suspects are in custody for further investigation, the police said in a statement on Tuesday. The police also searched two business premises in Best and Eindhoven, two homes in Eindhoven and a home in Weelde, Belgium. The male suspect often stayed at the home in Belgium. Video footage and information on the murder were released last year. The police hoped that information from the public may lead to an arrest in this case. The Judiciary in Oost-Brabant also issued a 15 thousand euro reward for information that leads to the resolution of the case.
