Dutch king Willem-Alexander surprises 200 troops in Jordan
King Willem-Alexander paid a surprise visit to the 200 Dutch troops in Jordan on Thursday, the government information service announced.
The Dutch troops in Jordan fall under the Air Task Force Middle East, which is part of the broad international coalition in the fight against terrorist organization Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
The King was given a tour of the place where the Dutch F-16's are station as well as the living quarters of the Dutch and Belgian soldiers, called Snow City. General Tom Middnedorp accompanied the King on his visit.
Before visiting the Dutch troops, King Wllem-Alexander met with Jordanian King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein.
