Shots fired at Amsterdam coffeeshop Jabba the Hutt

Update 10:50 a.m.: Added comment from an employee present in the coffeeshop at the time of the shooting Multiple shots were fired at coffeeshop Jabba the Hutt in Amsterdam-Zuid early on Thursday morning. There were people in the coffeeshop at the time, but no one was injured, according to the police. The shooting was first reported to the police around 00:35 a.m. The police did a forensic investigation at the scene and are looking for the shooter or shooters. An employee and two customers were in the coffeeshop when the shooting happened. The employee doesn't think the bullet that hit the coffeeshop was necessarily aimed at it, because it hit a wall on the inside of the building, he said to Het Parool. The coffeeshop is open as usual on Thursday. "With the knowledge that it was probably not aimed at people, we can simply go to work", the employee said to the newspaper. This is the fifth Amsterdam coffeeshop to be the target of a shooting in the past six months. De Kroon in Amsterdam-Zuid was shot at in January and The Power on Sarphatistraat was targeted in February. Mayor Eberhard van der Laan decided to shut them down indefinitely. In November last year coffeeshops on Krugerstraat and Gerard Dousraat were the targets of drive-by shootings. In both cases there were people in the coffeeshop, but no one was injured. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qYM8uSDnpk
