Shooting at Amsterdam apartment building kills one

One man was killed in a shooting in an apartment building in Amsterdam-Zuidoost on Tuesday night. Emergency services responded to the apartment building on Kruitberg around 11:30 p.m. The man was found in the doorway of an apartment, according to Het Parool. First responders tried resuscitating the victim, but to no avail. He died at the scene. Witnesses told AT5 that more than one shot was fired. The victim was called Mickey and he was watching football in a pub shortly before the shooting, according to one witness. A local resident described him as a "nice boy". So far nothing is known about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The police are investigating.
