Drugs, guns & counterfeit money seized in biker gang investigation

The police seized firearms, ammunition, drugs, money and counterfeit money while searching 19 addresses across the Netherlands on Friday, following the arrest of 23 Hell's Angels and Mongols members in Rotterdam on Thursday. The motorcycle gang members were arrested after a brawl and shootout at a hotel on Energieweg on Thursday night. On Friday officers searched 19 locations in Rotterdam, Barendrecht, Amsterdam, Schiedam, Oostrum, IJmuiden, Haarlem, Alkmaar, Berkenwoude, Gouda, Den Helder, Baarn and Delft. Officers seized, among other things, firearms, stun guns, knives and various forms of ammunition. A quantity of soft drugs and hard drugs, 55 thousand euros and an amount in counterfeit money were also seized. A dismantled cannabis plantation was found at one of the addresses. The investigation is still ongoing and the police believe more arrests will follow.
