Boy, 15, held in fatal stabbing of 18 year old
An 18 year old boy was stabbed to death in The Hague on Thursday. A 15 year old boy was arrested. The stabbing happened on Hofzichtlaan, just outside Mariahoeve station around dinner time, according to the police. Bystanders and witnesses did not immediately realize how serious it was, it just looked like two fighting boys, they said to Omroep West and AD. The boys were already arguing when they came out of the station. An employee of a snack bar near the station told Omroep West that the victim's girlfriend came running into the shop. She needed water, she said, because her boyfriend was stabbed. She grabbed a bottle and ran back out again. "It is terrible that it concerns two young people", a police spokesperson said to AD. "Obviously for the victim and relatives, but also for the suspected offender. We are in close contact with both families." The reason the boys were arguing is unclear.
