Travel assoc.: Caravan drivers should stay off windy roads today

Travel association ANWB is warning motorists traveling with caravans and trailers to stay off the roads today. Meteorological institute KNMI issued a code yellow warning for strong winds and the ANWB worries that this can lead to dangerous situations on the roads. Many people were camping with their caravans over the long Easter weekend. As it is coming to a close, the ANWB expects many caravans on the road on Monday. The travel association worries that this may not be safe due to the strong winds, and advises caravan and trailer drivers to stay off the roads until the winds die down. The KNMI expects that the winds will die down between late afternoon and early evening.
