Stationary bike rider killed in car crash

An elderly resident of a nursing home in Emmen was killed in a bizarre accident on Tuesday. She and another woman were exercising on exercise bikes in the home's recreation room, when a car crashed into the building. It is unclear how the car came to crash into the nursing home on Weerdingerhaag. According to the police, one of the women was killed, the other slightly injured. Emergency services took care of the motorist. she was not injured in the accident, but is in shock, according to RTV Drenthe. A police spokesperson told RTL Nieuws that the building was not badly damaged. "The facade was damaged, but it is not devastation."

De bewoonster was in de reactiezaal aan het fietsen op een hometrainer. Ze werd geraakt door de auto en overleed ter plaatse. #Emmen

Op Weerdingerhaag #Emmen is een auto een recreatiezaal van bejaardentehuis binnen gereden. Daarbij is een bewoonster om het leven gekomen.
