Shots fired at Amsterdam coffeeshop

Several shots were fired at Amsterdam coffeeshop The Power on Sarphatistraat on Tuesday morning. As far as is known, no one was injured, AD reports. According to a Burgernet report, the police are looking for a small, skinny young man. He wore a dark, shiny helmet, a blue jacket, dark trousers and dark shoes. The perpetrator fled the scene in the direction of Weesperplein on a scooter with a license plate starting with DH7. The motive for the shooting is unknown. This is not the first Amsterdam coffeeshop to be the target of a seemingly random shooting. In November coffeeshops on Krugerstraat and Gerard Dousraat were the targets of drive-by shootings.
