Fog, snow and ice to hit Thursday, Friday rush hours

Dutch motorists will be facing slick, icy roads, snow and in many places dense fog with less than 200 meters visibility during morning rush hour on Thursday. Meteorological service KNMI issued a code yellow warning for the whole country. The mist is expected to dissipate by late morning. The slippery roads will remain a problem until at least noon in most of the country, and for the whole day in the northern provinces. Slick roads will also be a problem for the whole country during Thursday's evening rush hour and Friday's morning rush hour. The KNMI already issued a code yellow warning covering the entire country starting late afternoon on Thursday and ending around noon on Friday. Motorists are advised to keep a close eye on weather forecasts and warnings. According to the meteorological office, the mist and low hanging clouds will dissolve with difficulty because there is very little wind. Most places will have a gray winters-Thursday. Afternoon temperatures will range from -2 in the northeastern parts of the country to 3 in the south.
