“Never had a traffic ticket”: Kidnapped Breda men still missing

There is still no trace of 18 year old Gino Heeren and 42 year old Rien de Koning, who were kidnapped from a car dealership in Breda on Tuesday. The police are investigating dozens of tips. On Wednesday BN De Stem reported, based on sources, that De Koning was often in touch with the police and judiciary and that Heeren is the son of drug criminal Corne R. Heeren's grandmother is furious that the two are being portrayed as criminals, she told Omroep Brabant. She raised Gino herself. "Gino never even had a traffic ticket. I'm really curious about where this nonsense come from." she said. "I also don't know what's going on here. I am waiting for more information from the police." A spokesperson for the police confirmed this to the broadcaster and stressed that Heeren and De Koning are the victims here. "They are not known to the police. One of them has a blank criminal record. The other has one entry. We think they are being used as leverage between criminal groups. We are investigating what link there is between the two and the criminals." A team of 30 investigators are working on the case, each with their own specialty, the spokesperson continued.
