Photos of Amsterdam double-shooting show suspect running to Vondelpark

The police released a photo of the suspected gunman of the double-shooting in front of an Italian restaurant on Amstelveenseweg in Amsterdam on Friday night. Two men, aged 23 and 28 from Albania, were seriously injured when a gunman opened fire on them in front of the ScottaDio restaurant just before 11 p.m. They are still in hospital recovering from their injuries, but are no longer in life threatening danger, according to the police. The police believe that the shooting was a targeted attack. The shooter was caught on a surveillance camera as he was fleeing in the direction of Vondelpark. Investigating officers would like to make contact with anyone who may have been taking pictures on Amstelveenseweg around the time of the shooting.
