Woman found unconscious, badly injured near Amsterdam-Oost rail station

A 28-year-old woman was found injured and unconscious on Insulindeweg in Amsterdam-Oost on Tuesday evening. The police believe she is a victim of a crime and are investigating what happened to her.

A passerby found the unconscious woman along the road near Muiderpooort Station at around 6 p.m. on Tuesday and called the emergency services, NH Nieuws reported. First responders checked her condition at the scene before taking her to a hospital by ambulance, where she was admitted as a patient.

As the woman was unresponsive and did not have any identification with her, the police had some trouble finding out who she was. They spread her description, hoping that the public could help identify her. The police described her as being between the ages of 25 and 35, slender, with a light skin tone and darker hair. She was wearing a gray shirt, dark pants, a fanny pack, and sandals with socks.

On Wednesday night, the police reported they identified the woman as being 28 years old. The police provided no further details about who the woman is, what happened to her, or her current condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
