Robber caught just outside Ajax training pitch

Ajax football players had their training interrupted on Friday morning when the police arrested a robber just outside the training pitch, after fishing him out of the dike. The police discovered the robber's car at a restaurant next to the training pitch De Toekomst on Friday morning and launched a search, according to the Telegraaf. When they found the robber, he tried to escape by jumping into the dike on three occasions. Did this not help very much as he was eventually caught and arrested. The police spent hours searching for evidence right next to the Ajax training ground. Ajax is playing against FC Twente in Enschede on Saturday. The Amsterdam team has taken twelve points in the first four matches in the league.
