Weather warning: More thunderstorms expected for the Netherlands

The Netherlands can expect more bad weather for the next two days. The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute, the KNMI, has issued a code yellow weather warning for thunderstorms for Wednesday night. The code yellow warning indicates dangerous weather. It affects the whole country except for Limburg, and will be in effect from 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday until 1:00 a.m. on Thursday. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with some drizzle locally. The northwestern part of the country should not get their hopes up with regards to sunshine, but the southeastern parts may be more lucky. Afternoon temperatures are expected to rise between 22 degrees in the west to 27 degrees in the south east with moderate to strong winds. By late afternoon a few thunderstorms will reach the west of the country and move northeastwards during the course of the night. Rain may be accompanied by hail and strong winds up to 90 kilometers per hour. Thursday is also expected to be mostly cloudy with some rain in the south. The maximum temperatures will reach about 18 degrees. The rest of the week and weekend will have periods of sun and occasional rain. Afternoon temperatures will rise up to summer levels on Sunday, but then fall again after heavy showers.
