German caught on highway with trunk full of cash

The police arrested a German man in Roosendaal on Thursday afternoon after finding almost 140 thousand euros in the trunk of his car. The police pulled the 36 year old man from Frankfurt am Main over after noticing that he was driving "remarkably hesitantly" through the city. When the officers asked him for his licence, he took it out of a gym bag so carefully that the officers immediately became suspicious. They checked the gym bag and other bags in the trunk of the man's car and found nearly 140 thousand euros. The man could not give an acceptable explanation for why he had so much money on him and the officers arrested him on suspicion of money laundering. He is custody for further investigation. The money, car and a number of other personal items were confiscated.
