Over 22,000 turnout for Scheveningen Pier reopening

The Scheveningen Pier reopened this weekend after two years of rebuilding. And it seems that the two years it was closed down did nothing to diminish the public interest - more than 22 thousand people paid a visit to the Pier over the weekend. As the building is still ongoing, access is restricted to only the renovated upper deck, the pancake restaurant, the tower and the bungy jump, Den Haag FM reports. For the coming weeks only up to 800 people at a time will be allowed on the Pier. Around 12 thousand people came to look at the renovated Pier on Saturday and around 10 thousand visited on Sunday. The Pier is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
