Three more held in cop's stabbing

Three more young people have been arrested in connection with the police officer being stabbed in Leerdam during the early hours of Sunday morning. On Monday evening the police arrested a 17 year old boy at his home in Leerdam. On Tuesday a 20 year old man from Gorinchem and a 18 year old man from Leerdam were also arrested. All three are suspected of acts of violence against property and persons resulting in injury. The first suspect, a 17 year old boy from Leerdam, was arrested right after the stabbing. He has been arraigned and is still in custody. The police are still investigating, On Tuesday officers did a neighborhood investigation to gather witnesses and more information.
