One year in prison possible for sex with teen prostitute allegation
The Public Prosecutor demanded a one year prison sentence in court on Tuesday against one of the men who is accused of having sex with an underage girl in the Valkenburg teen prostitution case.
The 25 year old man was present at the hearing by court order. He denies having sex with the 16 year old girls, saying that he left the hotel when he saw a man, instead of a woman in the hotel room.
In January the man turned himself in to the police and gave a statement. This statement said that two men robbed him at the hotel. He withdrew this statement in the court on Tuesday.
The Public Prosecutor does not believe this man's latest statement as he had SMS contact with the girl 18 times.
The man's lawyer pleaded for an acquittal, saying that is no hard evidence to prove that his client had sex with the girl - no traces were found of his client's DNA and there are no witnesses.
