Fourth person dies after Portugal bus crash, two still critical

The bus accident in Portugal on Wednesday night has claimed its fourth fatality. A 64 year old Dutch tourist, who was admitted to a hospital in Faro after the accident, passed away on Friday. A source at the Centro Hospitalar do Algarve confirmed this to Portuguese news agency Lusa, AD reports. TUI spokesperson Hans Vanhaelenmeesch confirmed to RTL Nieuws that two Dutch tourists who were involved in the accident are in critical condition. Four others are also still in hospital. Shortly after the accident there were reports that the bus driver had become ill and lost control of the bus. According to the AD, the Dutch tourists who were on the bus now say that that was not the case – the bus driver was speeding and busy with other things. The bus driver was one of those wounded in the accident.
