The police arrested a 20 year old man in Amsterdam on Thursday. He is believed to be responsible for 5 robberies in the city. Dozens of police officers have been working hard for days trying to find and arrest this serial robber. On Thursday a police officer spotted him walking over a bridge on Ouderzijds Achterburgwal and followed him with a colleague. They arrested him in a bar on Oudezijds Achterburgwal, the Telegraaf reports. The man is suspected of involvement in 5 robberies which happened with in a week. He never stole more than a few hundred euros, according to Het Parool. The first robbery happened in a Pancake House on Ouderbrugsteeg last week Thursday. He then robbed a subsidiary of the Coffee Company on Leidsestraat on Friday, on Saturday he robbed the Torenzicht bar on Oudezijds Voorburgwal and on Sunday he robbed a sexshop on the Niuwezijds Voorburgwal. His last robbery was on Wednesday, when he robbed the souvenir shop of the Amsterdam Museum on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.
