Thief bites off shopkeeper's finger, pinched
The court in Amsterdam is expected to give a ruling in a very strange case next week. A thief in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost bit off the tip of a shopkeeper's finger after stealing a bottle of detergent.
According to AT5, the incident happened in the Electrobazar in Reigerbos on December 16th last year. A passerby alerted an employee of the stall that someone had stolen something from his store. The 52 year old shopkeeper confronted the thief, who completely lost it. The man hit and kicked the shopkeeper and then bit off the top of his finger.
The shopkeeper told AT5 that the bottle of detergent that was stolen wasn't worth more than 3 euros. The shopkeeper's finger could not be reattached.
