Large fire rages through Wageningen hotel
A hotel and congress center in Wageningen had to be evacuated on Wednesday morning due to a large fire. At least 170 people have had to leave their hotel rooms.
According to NOS, firefighters are still checking rooms to make sure that there is no one left in the hotel building of Hof van Wageningen.
The fire department believes that the fire started in an elevators shaft. Fire can be seen on the ground floor, first floor and eighth floor. The rest of the floors are full of smoke, according to the fire department.
Eight people have been treated by ambulance staff on the scene for smoke inhalation. The evacuated guests have been collected in a nearby theater.
