Stolen phone's location app leads to teen's arrest

On Saturday the police arrested a suspect in a Amsterdam street robbery after tracking the stolen phone using the smartphone's location app. Earlier on Saturday the police were informed that a tourist was robbed of his phone and watch in the vicinity of Orlyplein. Luckily the smartphone had an app that allows you to track the phone's location installed on it. The police tracked the phone to a building on Jan Louterstraat, where they found the phone and the watch. An 18 year old Amsterdam resident who was also present in the building was arrested. He is in custody for questioning. The stolen property was given back to the tourist.
