Suspect shot after stabbing Hague cop

A police officer was stabbed in his leg in his leg by a deranged man in The Hague early on Wednesday morning. The suspect was shot. The incident happened around 05:00 a.m. The police received a report of a quarrel between two people and found the man walking down the street with the knife. The circumstances that led up to the shooting is unclear. A spokesperson for the police told RTL Nieuws that the police officer was not seriously injured, but would not comment on the condition of the deranged man. "Medical care is underway", the spokesperson said. The man was shot in the leg and wounded himself in the face with his knife. It is not clear whether the man was shot by the stabbed police officer or by one of his colleagues.
