Ascension Day partly cloudy, up to 18 degrees

Ascension Day began cloudy in most of the Netherlands today, but there is a chance of sunshine during the course of the day. According to the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute, the cloud cover will be persistent in the northern coastal areas, but the rest of the country may see some sunshine. Afternoon temperatures are expected to range between 12 degrees in the northern coastal areas to 18 degrees in the south of the country. The cloud cover will increase in the south of the country by late afternoon and there is a chance for some rainfall tonight.
