Sound of stolen scooter engine gets men arrested

Police arrested two men ride a scooter in Doesburg, Gelderland after a local resident heard and recognized the sound of his own stolen scooter's engine. The sharp eared-inhabitant then set out to look for his two-wheeler only to find two strange men sitting on it. Together with another man, the rightful owner successfully prevented the thieves from fleeing, police revealed on Tuesday. Police officers were quickly on the scene and apprehended the 21- and 22-year old suspects, also from Doesburg. After a check the police confirmed the scooter was stolen and the duo riding it were brought in for handling stolen goods. The investigation is still ongoing, police said.
