Three arrested in fatal train accident

A person was hit by an oncoming train after ending up on the tracks at the station in Wijchen just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. The victim died at the scene. Three other people were arrested. The police immediately launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. According to the police, there are signs that the victim and the three suspects got into a fight somewhere else. Thus far the police have not released any details about the victim or the suspects. Several people witnessed the fatal accident. They were offered victim support.
