Amsterdam jihadist killed in Syria bombing

Achraf, a Amsterdam jihadist who went to Syria in December 2013 at the age of 16, was killed in Syria on Saturday, AT5 reports. Achraf was killed in an anti-ISIS bombardment. His family identified the lifeless body of the boy in photographs. Reportedly he was buried in Syria on Sunday. On January 9th Minister Ivo Opstelten of Security and Justice reported that 21 Dutch jihadists have been killed in Syria and Iraq. He also said that about 180 Dutch jihadists have left for both those countries. 35 of these have since returned to the Netherlands, Opstelten reported.
