Amsterdam neighborhood splits €44 million lottery prize

The postcode area 1107 in Amsterdam Zuidoost won the postcode lottery of 43.7 million euro. That was announced yesterday during a broadcast of the television program Koffietijd. Half of the prize money will be divided among the locals who played along with the full winning postcode - 1107 and two other letters. The other 21.85 million euro will go to all other participants who played along with the postcode that starts with 1107.

The winners of the biggest cash prizes were announced last night. These winners received checks from Postcode Lottery ambassadors Quinty Trustfull, Caroline Tensen, Martijn Krabbe, Gaston Starreveld and Nicolette van Dam. The other winners will be announced on Tuesday at the party organized in the district.
