Hague museums honour Anton Corbijn

In honor of his 60th birthday the Gemeentemuseum and Fotomuseum in the Hague will do a complete retrospective exhibition of Hague photographer Anton Corbijn's career. The exhibitions covering his entire oeuvre will start from March 21st. The exhibition in the Gemeentemuseum will show how Corbijn in 40 years developed from a music lover into a successful photographer and versatile artist. The exhibition in the adjacent Fotomuseum will exhibit photographs of bands and musicians. Anton Corbijn is one of the world's most famous portrait photographers. He has photographed big stars such as Robert de Niro, David Bowie and Nelson Mandela. He is also the permanent photographer for the band U2. Since 2007 Corbijn has focused increasingly on film. A Most Wanted Man, his third film, is currently in theaters.
