Cuba looks to Netherlands for foreign investment

Cuba asked Dutch companies to invest in the country. The Cuban ambassador in the Hague made this request now that the relations between Cuba and the United States are better and trading will be easier. "The Netherlands is a country with great agricultural knowledge, which is an important sector for Cuba", said Carlos Rodriguez of the embassy. Cuba also needs companies with expertise in the area of climate change, water management, renewable energy and infrastructure. "If the blockage is gone, there will be no financial constraints, as is unfortunately currently the case for companies that want to trade with us." American president Barack Obama announced on Wednesday that his country will tighten ties with Cuba. The US did not trade with Cuba for more than 50 years.
