Breakaway MP forms own party

The former 50PLUS Parliament Member Norbert Klein has formed his own party - the Vrijzinnige Partij (Freethinking Party). Since his departure from 50PLUS, the Parliamentarian from Hoevelaken continued under the name KLEIN, but this has now changed. "The Vrijzinnige Partij stands for independent creative people who are involved in a free and caring society." Klein said about the new name. Klein wants to focus on sustainability, change in labor, globalization, individualization and aging "from a different perspective". Other than the 50PLUS party, the Vrijzinnige Partij is not aimed at an older generation. Klein departed from 50PLUS in June because he did not agree with the party's profile as a one-issue party. Before his departure he was faction chairman for some time.
