Suitcase full of explosives found in Amsterdam house
A suitcase filled with explosives were found during renovation work on a house on Dintelstraat in Zuid yesterday. The suitcase was hidden in the air duct of the house.
The house has been vacated. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal were called in to safely remove the suitcase from the house. An investigation was launched on how the case got to be there.
According to the police there was not a large scale evacuation, "but there is always a risk so we are being careful". It is not clear what type of explosives are involved. The residents of the house were not arrested.
At 22:00 last night, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal were still busy in the house.
