Driver held with €10,000 in old fines

On Monday, November 10th, the police arrested a man in Rotterdam for 21 fines. The ANPR system recognized the vehicle on the A16. The driver of the car was wanted for a total of €10,390 in old fines, but also because he still has to complete his community service. On the A13 the officers signaled the driver to follow them. On Vliegveldweg the driver suddenly sped away. The 35 year old man from Haarlem was caught after a brief search in the area. A 36 year old woman was also in the car. She is wanted for an outstanding amount of 1,217 euro. The car was seized because the woman was unable to pay the amount.
