Jihadist Tilburg girl caught in Hungary

The Public Prosecutor confirmed that a 16 year old girl from Tilburg was retained in Hungary because she was possibly on her way to join the terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS). According to Justice, there were indications that the girl wanted to join ISIS. Justice did not specify what exactly the indications were. According to the Hungarian newspaper Blikk, the girl of Moroccan origin contacted recruiters through social media. Justice is investigating whether the girl is punishable - whether she chose to join ISIS herself, or if she was forced to do so. The girl left on October 29th and traveled on a false passport. Her parents raised the alarm when she "did not appear where she should be", said the prosecutor. The girl has been handed over to the Dutch authorities. The Council for Child Protection and Youth Welfare are involved with the family.
