Consumer confidence recovers
According to Statistics Netherlands, consumers regained confidence in the economy in October.
Consumer confidence increased with 4 points in October and amounts to -3, rising it above the average over the last 20 years (-8).
Confidence in the economic situation rose significantly in October. The sub indicator Economic climate improved 10 points, arriving at 8.
The willingness to buy bare changed from September to October. This sub-indicator of consumer confidence improved with 1 point, arriving at -10.
Consumers are slightly less negative about their finances in the next 12 months. They also find this time slightly less unfavorable for major purchases, than last month.
