On Saturday afternoon, October 11th, the police arrested three people after a minor accident in the parking lot of a supermarket in Poolsestraat, Kaatsheuvel. The 29 year old driver of an Audi reversed into another car and then tried to drive away. With the help of bystanders, the aggrieved party managed to stop the getaway attempt and the police were called in. The driver was heavily intoxicated and therefore arrested. One of his passengers (32) was also arrested for threatening onlookers. A third passenger of the perpetrator tried to interfere, almost turning the incident into a brawl. The third man was also arrested after he tried to free his friends from the police.
