TV mogul, celeb sister get new blackmail letter

The police announced that the De Mol family has received another blackmail letter. The new letter again contains threats against John de Mol's sister, Linda de Mol and her children. As previously announced, no response will be given to this or any subsequent letter.

Since October 2013 the extortionist regularly communicated with the De Mol family through letters. Through the threatening letters John de Mol is put under pressure o pay large sums of money. The TV program Opsporing Verzocht brought attention to the investigation in their broadcast on September 30th. A composite sketch of a man possibly involved with the case was shown.

The police have received more than 500 tips regarding this case. No further information was given regarding the contents of the letter. The investigation continues.
