Top 100 coffee spots in NL revealed
Dordrecht cafe Coffeelicious won first place in the 2014 Misset Koffie Top 100 coffee rankings, which judges the best cups of java available across the Netherlands. Coffeellicious won top marks because they gave customers a full, traditional coffee experience, the judges said.
The award was presented to Coffeelicious owner Fiona Buitenhuis on Monday at Inn Style Maarssen. Groningen cafe Black & Bloom picked up second place, followed by Palladium in Amsterdam, Semmelink in Lochem, and Sugar & Spice in Amsterdam.
Top 10:
1 Coffeelicious, Dordrecht
2 Black & Bloom, Groningen
3 Palladium, Amsterdam
4 Sammelink, Lochem
5 Sugar & Spice, Amsterdam
6 Cafe La Cle, Maastricht
7 Koko Coffee & Design, Amsterdam
8 30ML 8, Utrecht
9 Pure, Utrecht
10 Blonde Pater, Nihmegen
Coffeelicious was reviewed by Marco Elders, sales support manager at JJ Darboven. "Fiona works quietly and tidy, all the technical skills are out of this world," he said. "Beautiful crema film with a fine body. Well balanced, sweet, fruity and well recognizable mocha tones of espresso combine beautifully with the sweet foam."
Misset Horeca has published the complete rankings and reviews of the Top 100 coffee locations on their website.
