Two seriously hurt in Velp arson

In Velp, Gelderland, two people have become seriously injured after a fire broke out in a home on Wednesday night. Firemen evacuated 30 people from the housing complex, and the injured were transfered to hospital, Hart van Nederland reports. The blaze was under control quickly, but there was a lot of damage. The home is part of a large complex made up of several living areas. All 30 residents of the building were evacuated. The fire department says that the cause of the fire is an as of yet unknown flammable liquid which was thrown into the home at around 2.15 a.m. Two residents were first brought to hospital, but because of the severity of their burns had to be transfered to the burn victim center in Beverwijk. One person was treated for smoke inhalation. Police are investigating the incident. No news of any arrests or clues as to who the arsonists were has come out.
