Footballer assaulted by opponents released from hosp.

In Reuver, Limburg, a 30-year-old footballer was injured after a fight broke out between the two teams. Opposing teammates kicked and punched the victims several times, resulting in the footballer's hospitalization. The match, between Reuver 5 and VOS 6 from Venlo on Sunday ended in a fight between the teams on the field in the Sint Josefweg. After being treated in hospital, the victim was released Sunday evening. Police are investigating what led up to the fight. No arrests have yet been made, and police are asking witnesses to come forward.
