Pauw and Witteman to split

Jeroen Pauw, of the popular politics and current events talk show 'Pauw & Witteman', is going to present his own late night talk show on Nederland 1. He has not officially signed contracts, but sources close to the presenter say it is "100 percent certain", the Algemeen Dagblad reports. Pauw will split from his co-presenter Paul Witteman to become the face of, simply, 'Pauw', which is a working title. It will be produced by VARA/BNN and Pauw's own company TVBV. The last broadcast of 'Pauw & Witteman' will be aired on the 23rd of May. Paul Witteman announced his desire to quit last month. This opened the time slot for a late night talk show from 1 January 2015. A combination of Jeroen Pauw and Eva Jinek, journalist and morning talk show host for 'Vandaag de dag, was a possibility, as KRO-NCRV put Jinek's name into the hat, but this is now off the table. "It is as good for Eva as it is for me not to do that. We know each other too well for that", Pauw told the AD.
