Missing mom found dead

The ex-husband of Claudia Oskam from Zevenbergen, who has been missing since Friday, was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of involvement in her disappearance, reported the police.37-year-old Claudia Oskam, mother to three children, met with her ex-husband Friday afternoon at his house in Zevenbergen. That is the last time she was seen, around 16:30. Her car was still parked in front of her ex's home. Claudia Oskam, murdered in January 2014 (L), and William, her ex-husband and a suspect in the case (R), (photos: Facebook) William R. was suspected of involvement in her disappearance, according to a police spokesperson to Omroep Brabant. The police fenced off the house and seized his car for a thorough search. 20 Detectives are working on the case. Oskam's disappearance caused a stir in Zevenbergen. Some 150 volunteers, mainly neighbors, family, and friends started a search Sunday morning around her ex-husband's residence, covering Zevenbergen and nearby Standdaarbuiten. By Sunday night the search was suspended without any results. Later Sunday night police found a body in a water close to an industrial area on the Schansdijk, based on a tip of Oskam's ex husband. Police assume it's Oskam's body, but the identity has yet to be confirmed by autopsy. William R. confessed to killing his ex-wife. Details about her death have not yet been released. Oskam's three children were taken in by family.
